ShopSabre laser systems are extremely cost effective and very affordable. Synrad lasers have no mechanical or moving parts to wear out or breakdown. There's no maintenance required, either. Production downtime is reduced and there are no consumables to replace. Factor in long operating lifetimes, low operating costs, and you have a very persuasive reason to consider a ShopSabre CNC with a Synrad laser.

Laser etching photographs into wood, granite, glass and other materials can be done with ease. Software is available that will automatically convert a gray scale image into a file with the best resolution for the material that is being used.

Etching and marking with a ShopSabre laser system has opened new possibilities for precision artwork to be placed on acrylic, wood, glass, marble, granite, Corian and even on coated metals. Some of the metals that can be marked* are: aluminum, chrome, brass, copper, nickel, tin, carbon steel and stainless steel.

* Metal can be marked but not etched with a CO2 laser. The beam of the CO2 laser will either be reflected from the metal or be absorbed by the metal.

Laser cutting of production parts has become one of the most cost effective tools for small to large manufacturing companies. Complex cuts and repetitive cuts as well as prototype parts are all done easily and with great precision on a ShopSabre laser system. Manufacturers and custom fabricators are able to nest parts in their CAD software and cut full sheet stock to maximize their material yield, thus increasing profit.

In addition, ShopSabre offers the Synrad FH Flyer Marking Head. The newest member of Synrad’s FH family of marking heads, the FH Series “Flyer”, marks at speeds up to 450 characters per second in either static (index) or dynamic (tracking) laser-marking applications. A simple mounting kit is all that is required to pair FH Flyer with any Synrad CO2 laser from 10 to 125W to accomplish a wide range of applications.
