Meet the Team: Ryan, Lead Tester

In this Meet the Team feature, Lead Tester Ryan takes you onto the production floor at ShopSabre in Lakeville, Minnesota to show how our quality assurance team tests and calibrates every CNC machine before delivery.

Before an industrial CNC router or plasma table ships to your shop, it must prove itself under real operational power. Ryan and the testing team load customer-specified software options, complete final wiring hookups, and run live machine cycles to ensure every axis operates with absolute accuracy. As Ryan explains, “What we do is we load our programs and options for the customers. From there, we actually run the machines, and we hook them up and make sure that they are actually running properly.“

Drawing on seven years of machine-building experience and a previous background fabricating heavy conveyor infrastructure for UPS and FedEx, Ryan has tested everything from standard production tables to complex custom builds, including specialized four-headed spindle routers. Because every ShopSabre is manufactured and tested under one roof in Minnesota, our testing technicians work directly alongside mechanical assembly and electrical engineering to resolve issues immediately.
