MDF Wainscoting using KCD + Vectric VCarve Pro – Part 2
From Design to Finished Parts
After completing the design and setup process, the next step is turning your files into finished components.
In this video, we continue the MDF wainscoting project by moving into toolpathing and machining using Vectric VCarve Pro.
Recap of Part 1
In Part 1, we covered:
- Designing wainscoting in KCD
- Preparing and exporting files
- Importing designs into VCarve Pro
Now, we complete the process by cutting the parts.
Toolpathing and CNC Setup
This phase focuses on preparing the machine for production.
Key steps include:
- Creating toolpaths in VCarve
- Setting up material and tooling
- Preparing the CNC router for cutting
Machining MDF Wainscoting
With everything set up, the CNC router cuts the components with precision and repeatability.
This allows shops to:
- Produce consistent parts
- Reduce manual labor
- Improve overall efficiency
