Meet the Team: Jacob, Painter
A precision CNC machine needs a finish that withstands flying chips, industrial coolant, and decades of heavy shop abuse. In this Meet the Team spotlight, painter Jacob takes you inside the spray booth at our Lakeville, Minnesota facility to reveal the detailed surface prep behind every machine frame we build.
Industrial paint quality is won long before the gun triggers. Jacob and the finishing team dedicate their mornings to meticulous surface preparation, degreasing, washing, and hand-sanding welded steel chassis and tables. As Jacob puts it, “Our attention to detail has to be superior to most other departments because if the paint is jacked up, then you can tell immediately. We just make sure that everything is sanded to perfection so that way when it goes into the paint booth, it comes out as a perfect product.“
Every ShopSabre router, plasma table, and fiber laser is built and finished under one roof in Minnesota. When you invest in an American-made machine tool, you get heavy structural steel protected by an industrial coating applied by craftspeople who take pride in every square inch.
