Meet the Team: Patrick, Weld Lead

In this Meet the Team feature, Weld Lead Patrick takes you onto the manufacturing floor at ShopSabre in Lakeville, Minnesota to show how our heavy steel machine frames are fabricated from the ground up.

A precision CNC machine tool is only as stable as its welded foundation. As Weld Lead, Patrick oversees structural frame fabrication across our router lines, including the Industrial Series (IS), Pro Series, and ShopSabre 23. Patrick brings a decade of hands-on welding and metalworking experience to every bead laid on our production floor. As Patrick explains, “I want to be able to be proud of the item that I make and send it out so the customer is proud of that product as well. I don’t like sending out something that’s going to be half-shoddy. I want to create something that somebody can show off to their friends, their family, or other coworkers.“

Because we manufacture our equipment under one roof, our team builds machines using our own ShopSabre CNC routers and plasma tables every single day. That internal feedback loop allows us to test, refine, and improve our equipment continuously based on real shop-floor production demands.
